THE HIGH STREET IS DEAD

Has fashion gone dark? Is it leaning into a more gothic aesthetic? Or is it simply reflecting the current times? Take a look around, the high street is dying, genocides are raging over seas, AI is threatening people’s jobs and infiltrating the art world, diseases and bed bugs are running rampant across the world. You could even argue that fashion itself is dying, I mean it’s not sustainable long term anyway. It’s time to mourn, the fashion world is in its goth phase as it pays respect to all we’ve lost.

The world may be in mourning, but hope is not lost, whilst we march the streets in our platform boots and funeral attire we keep our heads high, we keep looking forward. Mourning does not mean stopping, we will pay our respects to the slow destruction of life as we know it whilst still fighting to make change. Mourning is not sadness, mourning is love persevering.
